Changing the Image

Part 1: Improve the Image
To improve the image I changed the levels, contrast, hue/saturation, and curves. I did this for both the foreground and the background.

Part 2: Experiment with the Image
To achieve this effect, I adjusted the curves and the hue/saturation, then added a satin filter to Mischa and the wine bottles.

Part 3: 4-Panel Study on the Characteristics of Color

These images show my interest with the wine bottle because. . . . well, I'm not sure. These end images were what I thought looked the best after experimenting with many different adjustment layers.

Wine Angles

1) Looking down into wine bottle.

2) A plain front on view.

3) Wine bottle upside down.

4) Lying on it's side, looking at it straight on.

5) Lying on its side with the bottle cap under the neck.

6) Close-up of the label.

My Subject

My subject and why I chose it:

I chose a bottle of wine as my subject for Project 1. I chose it because I thought it would be kind of funny going along with the descriptions. Eating breakfast with wine, vacuuming with wine, etc. I am not actually visually interested in the bottle, and if I had known about this weeks assignment, I would have chosen a different subject. It was very hard to find 10 different and interesting ways to photograph this!

Interesting Observations

3 Interesting things I have noticed since being at Moore:

1) Girls with rad haircuts and clothes.  This girl in my design class changed her hair so drastically from one class to the next that I barely recognized her.
2) The toilets bicycles in the window gallery.  Really bizarre. . .
3) The coed bathroom in the basement by the tech lab has a urinal and a shower in it.
